Bbeauty Designs List of Product Types & Services
Anything and everything you can imagine or dream, we can make. Our team of designers can create a custom look and a custom fit for you with a wide background in many fashion fields. Our team members can customize and create the following:
Costumes
Custom Costumes, Period Wear, Specialty Performance Wear, Dance, and Film Replicas
Bridal
Bridal and Bridesmaid Gowns, Wraps, Flower Girl Apparel, Custom Baskets, Ring Pillows, and Money Bags. All custom made in your wedding colors. Weddings are our specialty. We have the fashion answers to the dreary stock solutions a typical boutique can offer you. Wedding gowns made in mass quantities don't always fit every shape and curve of every body type. So you can find a style you like but it fits you like a tent, accenting you in all the wrong areas. Really elaborate dream gowns can cost a pretty penny, and once you find a dress you idolize in a magazine your chances of finding it at your neighborhood boutique is nearly impossible. Plus, doing a custom gown opens your door to styles not available. We offer custom design services for gowns and accessories which allows us to fit every shape, and produce exactly the style you are looking for.
School, Team, Group Apparel
Embroidery and embellishment for teams, logos, schools, groups in custom designed apparel, graduation sashes, and other applications.
Handbags
High end bag designs for all styles at couture and artisan quality. Our purses range in all different sizes and shapes in a wide range of designs. We use 100% real leather in all of our pieces and high end beads and stones.
Couture Gowns
High end creation of gowns for evening, promotional events, pageants, and red carpet. Our gowns are expertly crafted and often integrate complex skill levels in beading, craftsmanship, and professional quality. We often make customized hand pieced jewelry to compliment our gowns for a complete ensemble.
Industrial Prototyping
Product design, prototyping for medical, military, industrial, and other textile applications.

We go to great lengths to ensure that your items arrive to you with professional presentation. If any damages or quality issues are present for an order received contact us within 24-48 hours of receipt with customer service to issue return and/or replacement of your order.
Our guarantee covers:
- A garment's finished size will be made to fit the measurements provided by the client. Remember most garments can be made with minimal measurements provided, but the more measurements you provide allows us to make it less of a generic size and more of a tailored size.
- Flaws in stitching, craftsmanship, or sewing. Any unraveling at the seams, any degree of unprofessionalism in the sewing, and any flaws in the product upon arrival.
- Quality of the material when we select the material.
- Design flaws on a garment we designed.
Our guarantee does not cover:
- Someone else's work. We do not cover problems not related to the work we did or to the satisfaction of the overall garment.
- Your own material. Whatever material you provide determines the quality level of that product.
- Incomplete measurements. Garments can be made with minimal measurements, but how many you provide determines how tailored you want the garment to be. You cannot provide generic measurements and complain that your garment is not tailored. Or complain about the fit in the garment for a measurement you did not provide i.e. the sleeve was too long, but you never provided a sleeve measurement.
- Rips or tears after a garment is worn i.e. you snagged the satin in your dress and complain of quality in material.
- Return of worn items or items created/purchased for special events.
- Design flaws on a garment you designed.
- If you injur yourself while wearing one of our designs or produced items. You wear everything at your own risk.
- If you change your mind about your purchase.
- Complaints on items not specified on your invoice/contract.
If we make a mistake, we will fix it. If the item is flawed beyond repair we will replace it. Each item is inspected for flaws before it leaves.
Care of your Garments
We use basic guidelines for the cleaning and care of your garments. If you are unsure of how to care for your garment, please ask us! We will not be responsible for dry cleaning problems or washing problems. Choose cleaners who will take proper care of your garments including those who are experienced with elaborate costumes and gowns, will test trims and beads to make sure they can withstand the chemicals they use, experience regarding stains and spots, and test for bleeding when working with garments with white and colors mixed. Pay the extra money for someone who takes the time.

1. How do I order?
You can call, email, fax, or make an appointment to come by in person. A limited number of pieces are available for instant purchase in our Etsy store (see our Store Page). You may not see everything available in our store that you see in our portfolio as the fabrics may have been limited edition and are no longer available. If you like a design not featured in our store, please contact us for possible fabric options. You will want to have an idea of what you want to spend on your piece, generally speaking a dress or a character style can be made as simple or as complex as you want it to be and in a variety of different budgets.
2. How long does it take to get my order?
There are two time frames you need to know when placing an order or utilizing our services. The first is how long it actually takes to build what you are ordering, and how long the wait time is before we can begin your order. Orders are processed on a first come first serve basis and can take a lead time of anywhere from 2 weeks up to 2 months depending on when you are booking and how many days it takes to actually sew your order. Each piece is handcrafted out of our studio. We will advise you at your time of ordering how long it will take to receive your order and whether we can accomdate your need by date. Rush orders are possible. Contact us for details.
3. Can you turn something I bought at a store into a better or high end piece?
We generally advise against this. It should be known that alteration charges may outweight your original purchase price for a garment, especially if you purchased it from a low-end store. We've been often asked to reconstruct merchandise purchased at other stores and make it higher quality or a better fit. Most times this ends up being a lose/lose situation for us as it is costly to redesign something already made and save the fabric or cut. It is much better to have us construct something from scratch for you. You will have something made better, and it will make for a better investment in your wardrobe.
4. I have a dress I want made that I saw in a store, why is it more costly to reproduce the dress than it was to buy the original dress?
Just about everything you see in a store is made from a factory and is mass produced. It is often made out of the country with very low wages, thus you have a labor cost difference as U.S. labor cannot compete with foreign labor. As well discounts on fabric for buying large runs don't exist when you are producing a single dress. Reproduction work also takes time to source materials, analyze the piece, pattern, and refit to your body. All these items factor in the price. Generally speaking it will be double to triple the price of the original dress.
5. What makes you different from other seamstresses , designers, and costume makers I have seen online or otherwise?
Our level of quality and attention to detail really sets us apart from all the rest. Each project is assigned a project manager to oversee the details of your project giving you a point person from start to finish. You are not limited by a catalog of designs to choose from, while you can choose to have one of our designs exactly as shown, we delight in being commissioned to make something new. We are innovators, designers, and constantly looking to break the mold and do things different. We don't want to be like everyone else so we actively seek ways to set us apart and bring you something fresh.
6. Will you make things out of fabric I provide?
Yes but if the quality of that fabric compromises the quality of the intended product we advise against it.
7. What is a typical budget for a custom costume or fashion?
Generally $250-$500 for simple designs, $600-$900 for mid grade designs and $1200+ for complex or highly embellished pieces.
8. When are your peak seasons?
Peak seasons are September through October for Halloween, and late November through December for Christmas/Winter seasons and summer for Children's entertainment Parties. If you are ordering on or near those seasons you will need to order 1 months before the peak season starts to ensure we can finish it on time. The best months to order fall in non peak seasons where you will have a faster lead time. After all we make costumes all year long for a variety of events, not just Halloween.
This is the famous portrait dress worn in Gone with the Wind and set above Rhett's fireplace as a shrine of Scarlett.
We recreated the dress inspired by the painting in a rich navy blue silk velvet. The dress is shown over a combination hoop and petticoat giving it a very full skirt. We also made Scarlett's scalloped shawl out of bridal lace and bloomers (not shown in the portrait) but consistant with the time period.
The dress is done in the period style. Although no real costume was made for the movie from this portrait to take actual inspiration off of, our version is a correct interpretation from the time period including a lace up back, high waistline, and with seams to indicate a full bust, and a trim waistline. We angled and shaped the bodice to trim in a most flattering way and it acts as a corset to pull in and give a nice flat stomach. It is twilled and boned using top notch materials.
The skirt is incredibly full and was built with a braid at the hem to help the skirt hold out at the bottom. This dress can also be made with a train for an additional $200.00. This dress can also be done in white for bridal/wedding out of your choice of bridal fabrics.

The story of Beauty and the Beast has captivated audiences world wide for centuries. A beautiful girl and her love for her father so much that she gave her life to be the company of an ugly beast. Through love and kindness she captures the heart of the beast and she grows to love him. A story of enchanted spells, of loving inner beauty, and humility the lessons of this story capture parents and children.
Belle's dress can be done in many different versions, in fact we have done many renditions of it in different budgets and styles for our clients. Choose from renditions in taffeta, satin, and a collection of brocades. Each gown is pictured with a crinoline or hoop (or a combination of the two) to achieve its fullness. Crinolines and hoops are sold seperately.
We have the ability to provide you with the full costume package, including a selection of shoes and handmade accessories to complete your costume.
The story of the "Little Mermaid" is an old tale of a girl who falls in love with the idea of being a human and marrying a prince. Her love for land legs inspires her story as she gives up her voice for a chance to win the heart of her prince. Just as there are many renditions of how this story ends, we have many versions of Ariel's sea and land costumes for you to choose from.
Ariel's Sea costumes can be customized with many different bra and/or leotard combinations to suit your needs, as well as different tail colors other than the traditional green. Tails can be made in a whole rainbow of colors.
Ariel's tails can be made for a number of different functions. Loose tails are made for walking around with a comfort and ease. Tighter tails limit mobility but end up looking more like a fish tail and mermaid shape. The tightest tails and closed fin versions can be made for parades and are for sitting only. As well a closed fin can also have a uni-fin added inside for swimming capability as all our fishy tails are made from swimsuit material.
The story of Snow White tells us about a girl that was blessed with incredible beauty and a step mother who was determined to be the Fairest of them All. In the most incredible tale of a mom's hatred or her daughter's beauty, Snow White grows up kind and beautiful and flees for her life to live with seven little men who save her from being killed by her wicked step mother.
Snow White's costumes have a number of components that represent her tale. Her deep blue bodice stands for royalty as a princess of the palace. Blue is also the color of valor and courage that Snow White needed to escape into the forest. The yellow of her skirt is for the sunshine color in her heart, her kindness and cheery attitude.
See our favorite renditions in various levels of Snow White's dress.
Aurora is also known as the Sleeping Princess, a story of a wicked sorceress that casts a spell on the daughter of the king and queen that before the sunsets on the evening of Aurora's 16th birthday she would prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die. Her protective fairy godmothers cast a counter spell so that if she pricks her finger that she will not die, but rather sleep waiting for true love's kiss.
To protect the princess her godmother's take her deep in the forest and she unknowingly falls in love with the very prince she was betrothed to. He fights to break the spell and wake the sleeping princess from the deepest sleep.
This costume has a handmade crown accessory that we have custom built and matching necklace. Her dress has various versions with different types of collars and embellishments. This dress can also be done in blue if you are wanting that version.
This dress can also be worn with a petticoat underneath for a fuller effect.
We are in love with the sassy fairy Tinkerbell with all her charms. The new Tinkerbell movies have brought a variety of characters from Pixie Hollow for us to fall in love with. As we learn about the land of the fairies we learn that Tinker fairies are not the only fairies with a task to do at spring time. There are water fairies, garden fairies, light fairies, and wind fairies. There are fairies for every task in nature.
Our fairy renditions are special. The material is hand painted and set so that they are completely washable. The fairies have the artistic touch of fairy pixie dust with embellished crystals. Delicate wings are embellished in glitter and swirls and crystals.
Enjoy the beautiful fairy renditions each with the personality and artistic touch of the nature fairies.
The classic tale of Cinderella in which a poor servant girl under the roof of an evil stepmother and two bratty stepsisters. With the help of a fairy godmother, Cinderella has a chance to go to the ball and fulfill all her dreams. A true rags to riches story, Cinderella finds her prince at the ball and falls in love. Happy to rescue her and give her a chance at a new life, her fairy godmother allows her to transform back into her glamorous self to live happily ever after.
Cinderella's ball dress can be made in a number of different variations, but the most popular remains in baby blue, whites, and silvers. We offer a handmade headband and choker as accessories to this series of costumes and glass slippers (plastic renditions of glass slippers) for the avid costumer.
Choose from any of our previous versions shown here, or have us create a new one.
In theatre, Peter Pan has been played by both men and women, so there are a great many renditions and versions to choose from/ It's the story of a boy that never wants to grow old, so he escapes to Never Never Land to lead a team of Lost Boys on the biggest adventures of their lives. But something is missing, and these boys need a mother to take care of them and bring them some comfort. So they recruit Wendy, all set in her nightgown to be a mother.
This enchanting tale spins off a variety of costume choices with the most popular being a spin off of Robin Hood in deep greens and oranges to mask in the forest. Our versions have been as simple as a tunic to a more complicated version with hand drawn leaves and a feathered cap.
Jasmine is part of an arabian tale, the daughter of a sultan in another rags to riches type of story, but this time it isn't the girl who makes the transformation but a young man, a "diamond in the ruff". Our hero is on a quest to help the evil sorceror Jafar obtain an old lamp to score some serious treasure. But only one who's value and self worth are beyond appearances can even get inside the cave of wonders. After obtaining the lamp, things go a bit wrong for our evil sorceror and it is our young hero that ends up with the lamp and three wishes. One of them to become a prince to win our fairest Jasmine. The moral of the story is that you don't need fame or fortune to win the princess, just a good heart.
Jasmine is quite a character in herself, and her costume is equally challenging. From the simplest versions, to the incredibly ornate ones, you can decide how jeweled you want to go on this truly royal princess. Most popular version is her teal costume, but she also has appeared in red and gold. Any of these pieces can be paired with manufactured jewels or our handmade headband and necklace combinations that mirror the movie/animated versions.
This costume creation was inspired by the original Lynda Carter Wonder Woman for a client with a modest budget.
The suit itself is made from red and blue spandex. Although there are many ready-made star prints available on the market, this pattern was custom created so that the stars were strategically placed and sized like Lynda's original one. The stars were individually drawn, digitized, and screen printed to the bottom material and then made into the costume.
The top was made the same way. The eagle representation in gold was hand drawn and screen printed onto the material and then made into the top of the suit.
The cuffs are made of stiff interfacing and gold material is heat pressed over them with a screen printed hand drawn red star on each. The arm bands have snap closures and the crown attaches at the back of the head with velcro.
The "truth" rope attaches at the hip as a simple gold braid.
Other versions of Wonder Woman can be quoted upon request as well as matching accessories such as boots and/or cape.
This costume creation was inspired by Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.
The dress itself is a combination of thick baby blue cotton and a grey-blue chiffon. In the bodice there is carefully pleated sleeves, handpainted buttons, vintage lace, and hand made piping. The skirt is several layers including a black and white bias edged striped crinoline, a white crinoline and custom embroidered animal and wave details around the skirt.
This costume took a whopping 6 months to create. The artwork alone was intense to create and was hand aligned panel by panel in meticulous detail. All the finishing touches were added to be as exact of a movie replica as possible.
Our creation was so close, it is often mistaken for the actual movie costume. It has created a fan base all its own and was featured in the October 2011 Issue of Dark Beauty in a Alice in Wonderland tribute spread.
The bodice has a number of components, a cotton white collar, centerpiece with gold ribbon stones and pearls, chiffon sleeves with red strips of torn red taffeta and accented with black beads, netted sleeves with matching detail, and hand crochet cuffs. The skirt is comprised of gold, red, and black brocade fanned out in the back and a center panel of red taffeta embellished with hearts in gold taffeta. Each heart was cut and heat pressed in place and then edged with black and gold lace.
The queen's crown is hand crafted and painted, embellished with gold heart studs, and red and gold embossed paint. It has two hair loops to pin crown in place to a wig or your own hair.
This is a collection of renditions we did of the turbans for the Sultan, Jafar, and Prince Ali. Each was handcrafted out of a buckrum base, covered in fabric to look like the original characters.
The art of hatmaking is truly a passion for the arts. Hats cannot be machine sewn, so they are stiched by hand which takes anywhere from 5-20 hours to complete depending on the complexity of the hat. Custom hats fall in all ranges from $200-$600 depending on materials, and how long they take to make.
Turbans inspired from the movie Aladdin for the male characters.
